The Kernel have been brewing for 5 years and are constantly talked of as being Britain's best microbrewery. Over that time they've gone from almost mythical status to an established cornerstone of the brewing scene. Evin started as a cheesemonger who homebrewed in his spare time before taking the plunge to brew under a railway arch just a stones throw from Borough Market in London. Business was built purely on word of mouth but his beers have been of such high quality from the get go that his reputation spread like wild fire.

5 years on they now brew on kit which is 4 times as big, spanning 3 railway arches and their beer is greater demand than ever before. Despite all of this, they still haven't lost 'it'. The 'it' that makes a brewery special.
